We have a date for our first community outreach activity, 1/10/2003. Place is Amity Flight School and time is 7:30 AM.

We will have 8 to 12 students from North HS meeting us there at 8:00 AM. They will have all completed an intensive 2 week science program on flight and will participate in the EAA Young Eagles Program with us.

We will need:

  • 3 or 4 Planes and pilots for the actual flight experience.(pilots must be EAA members)
  • 3 WAPA members to coordinate ground activities.
  • 12 certificate frames - donations anyone?
  • Doughnuts and juice - donations anyone?
  • Does anyone know calligraphy?
  • Polaroid and Digital camera with film.
  • Any volunteers to handle PR.

Rain/Snow day?

Hey Jack,

What is the plan if the weather doesn't cooperate. Jave you lined up an alternative date?

What should happen on Flight

Jack, What should happen on the flight? Is there a list of things that we should attempt to accomplish during the flight? Fly over their school? Explaining controls, radios, etc. Let them take the yoke for a while? ...
